The famous Mt Manaia trail is accessed right from the property, as is Mt Aubrey and the local coastal loop walk.  The cottage is situated on an acre of land which includes grassy areas, native trees and  a small pond. It's a short walk down the road to a small beach with old pohutukawa trees.
