Our cedarwood lodge has been designed and built for our family and friends to use when they visit. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.

Hovel House Shed

The Shed has been custom built, in the paddock, near my small barn conversion. It has a homely atmosphere, with vintage furnishings and up-cycled items. Where possible I’ve tried to be eco friendly. This is a quiet, tranquil place with beautiful views of the Scottish hills beyond the Solway Firth. It’s part of a small hamlet and my former family farm. Animals are often kept in the fields next to The Shed. You’ll experience stunning sunsets and starry skies.

'The Stables' is a charming refurbished cottage. Just North of the Lake District, we are a mile from Wigton, a short drive from pretty Cockermouth and Historic Carlisle, and 30 mins from Keswick in the Lakes. The cottage comprises of two receptions rooms, a kitchen /dining area, an ensuite master bedroom, a further double bedroom and single bedroom, plus a further bathroom, a utility room and downstairs WC. Outside we have a patio area with BBQ.
