Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Having lived on the North Coast for over 40 years we're a great resource to make your stay memorable.

We are an urban homestead complete with a permaculture-inspired garden, chickens, and bees we invite you to enjoy. We provide our guests with eggs, milk, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. All our cleaning products are non-toxic. The Arcata Community forest where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll or an active long run is just down the street. The Head Water House is very easy to find just 5 miles off HWY 101, just shy of Old Town Eureka (10 minutes). This place is truly unique with it's "one of kind" natural Redwood amphitheater and open meadow views. The Elk River Valley is relatively quiet, dark starry nights, and has 50% more sunny days than Eureka proper. Equipped with Starlink, rural connectivity has never been better. You'll see and hear many species of birds, deer, fox, and maybe even a Barred Owl at dusk.
