The cabin is situated on a private pond and is just a short walk to the community lake where you can fish, swim, sun, or paddle around with any hand powered vessel, two kayaks/PFD's are provided. This stunning and sprawling southern colonial home is perfect for family gatherings, reunions, or simply hanging out with friends. Located on the tip of Crane Lake within Buckeye Lake, the home comes with a boat dock across the street and is within walking distance of Crystal Beach.There is a small road between us and the water, and the home comes with land for water access and a boat dock. Great unobstructed water views from all decks and porches, but please note we are not ON the water.

It's an excellent place to relax and unwind. Fish directly off the dock or use the Kayaks included to explore the lake. We have an extra-long dock that can accommodate your boat(s). Fully equipped kitchen, your own washer and dryer, and a gas grill. There is a fire pit for the nights you want a campfire.

Welcome to The Lookout at Buckeye Lake! We stumbled upon this cozy cottage in the summer of 2018 and spent the next 12 months renovating the dream Buckeye Lake getaway. Our first project was an off-grid cabin featured on DIY Network’s Building Off The Grid. We took inspiration from that design to transform The Lookout into the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the lake. Located just 3 miles off I70, and walking distance to neighborhood favorite Papa Boos.
