Guests are welcome to use our kitchen for cooking and there is tea/coffee available for all guests.
Located just a few minutes up the road from us is our local pub Fanny O Deas. The hub of Fanny O Dea’s is without doubt the bar, with a Terazza and Liscannor flag floor, Oak counter and back bar, Old photographs, the famous Gouldings Clock, old enamel signs and stove all contribute to the atmosphere and make it the heart of the pub. Adjoining the bar is the Old Kitchen at Fanny O Dea’s with the original turf fire and crane which dates back to 1790 here you can sit into one of the leather tub chairs or the Chesterfield leather sofa and enjoy the aroma of a real turf fire and step back in time. Fanny O’ Deas Bar is first and foremost a friendly pub where you can grab some food, beer, some delicious wine or sample the famous Egg Flip.
Music & Song
For generations, music and song has featured prominently in Fanny O Dea’s. Lissycasey has a host of great local musicians, singers and dancers and spontaneous sessions often make the rafters ring, Fanny O Dea’s even provide a variety of instruments for visiting musicians. Just in case!
Sport on the Box
Catch them all, GAA, golf. racing, soccer, rugby and indeed all sports are catered for with state of the art screens carefully positioned around the pub.
The Lissycasey Cascades and ecology Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the pine marten – Ireland’s rarest mammal – as well as endangered species of plants. The loop also features outdoor gym equipment for the more athletic walker!
Directions to Trailhead
Lissycasey is located on the main N68 Ennis-Kilrush Road, approximately 17km from Ennis. The trailhead is located in a community garden area beside Lissycasey Church, on the right-hand side as you approach from Ennis. Road-side parking is available in the vicinity.
From the trail head, take the second turn onto a minor road which leads up a hill towards the woodlands. Turn left onto the forest track where indicated and follow the red directional arrows to complete the loop.
