Sweet Country Cabin: Sandstone!

Remote and secluded, Sandstone sits on a hill that was the property’s quarry, where the old-timers split the mountain’s sandstone rocks to make the foundation stones for their cellar and house. Their excavation holes are visible from the cabin. We thought that was so cool, so we carved out a place for Sandstone too! This cabin is on a hill: a peaceful piece of WV heaven that will comfortably accommodate up to 4 memory-making guests! Furry friends welcome with $95 pet fee.

Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We are located 50 minutes to an hour from the Snowshoe ski resort, Summersville lake, and The Cherry Hills country club in Richwood. Pet friendly.
