It's less than 20 minutes to walk downtown, with lots of shopping and food options, and an 8 minute drive to the beach (40ish minutes if you feel like walking). Head a little further along the lakeshore to swim in the lake and catch some rays. In winter cozy up at coffee shops or head down the ski hill blocks away at the YMCA.
