Classic French bistro fare with a twist, for a new power generation. Never mind the incredible main cocktail bar, ask to be directed to the Pincer Bar, attached Voltron-style off to the side. Then order a Pastis Fizz—a mix of pastis, cognac, cream, orgeat, and lime juice—and rabbit rillettes, complete with tiny rabbit-shaped toasts. Hubert takes lunchtime reservations for their incredible fixed-price menu. Book a table—it’s the only time you’re pretty much guaranteed to get a spot for two without having to turn up at 10 pm.

Both the restaurant and bar are incredible. Walking down the winding stairs from the Bligh st entrance is like walking into 1930s France. This is a classic French bistro, the food is top notch, the drinks are great, one of the most popular restaurants in town. Its brilliant. They also have live music on the weekends.
