Rangikapiti Pā provides panoramic views over Mangōnui Harbour, Coopers Beach and across Doubtless Bay to the Karikari Peninsula. It is a significant site to Ngati Kahu. It is distinctive for its terraces and defensive ditch around the pā.

From the top of the hill (which is easy walking from the car park) you can view all of Doubtless bay. The view of the sea and the land is very beautiful.
