Bochali (2km from Zante town) is the location of the ancient acropolis of Zakynthos town. It has stunning views towards Zakynthos, the sea and the harbour. Visitors can explore the area which is full of restaurants and cafeterias.

On the hill above the town in Bochali area stands the Enetician Castle of Zakynthos reminding the Venetian presence on the island for four centuries as well as the historical "Stranis Hill", where Dinysios Solomos inspired the lyrics of the Greek anthem, and the traditional perfumery "Razis "(Since 1963).
