Why not get the little red train all the way up the montenvers and get up close with La mer de glace. Note: there are a lot of steps so if you are with elderly travelers or young children it’s recommended for them to stay at the refuge at the top.

Jump on the Montenvers train and experience both one of the most beautiful view of Chamonix on the "Mer de Glace" (Sea of Ice) in a traditional atmosphere. Enjoy a coffee or beer on the terrace or a wonderful lunch if you have a bit more time. Ideal for sunset.

Le refuge a été entièrement rénové en 2017 par la famille Sibuet. Hors normes ! Pour un thé et des tapisseries après la mer de glace ou un bon repas après la vallée blanche ou encore une bonen bière après votre rando sur le balcon nord... Etienne est charmant !
