This company will let you rent out little boats on the Bassin de la Villette. Makes for a very nice (romantic or otherwise) afternoon. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around there if you're thirsty/hungry. Very young and hip neighbourhood.

Wicked way to discover the "not so touristy Paris" : Rent a boat per the hour and have a nice drink on the water ! (no boat licence needed). Very romantic ! A REAL MUST DO !!!

Fancy a little boat trip on the canal st martin? La Marine d'Eau Douce rents e-boots including a cheesy-wine pick-nick. You will the captain of you licence-free boat - great fun for friends, touristy cruises or as a kids event! Go easy on the wine though...

You can rent an electric boat here - around 70 Euros for 2 hours. This is one of my favourite things to do on a sunny day with friends. (you can bring booze on the boat) - You should make a reservation on their website first tho!
