You’ll find the island of Sainte-Marguerite next to Saint-Honorat. There are four islands just off of the coast of Cannes and this is the largest (the two smallest can only be reached by private boat). Sainte-Marguerite has some lovely beaches and old buildings and is a great place to take some time out from busy Cannes.

Beautiful island with natural beaches, superb forest of pine & eucalyptus and the Museum of the Sea where The Man in the Iron Mask was jailed. It only takes a 15min boat ride from Cannes to get there.

The bigger of the two islands, Ile Sainte-Marguerite has a variety of walking paths throughout the island, where local wildlife such as swans, herons and falcons. The historic Fort Royal is where the famous Man in the Iron Mask was held, France's most famous prisoner. Lay out at one of the many beaches and go swimming and snorkelling in the bright blue water where marine life is protected and abundant. Eat at : La Guerite !
