Every Friday and Saturday the Kenai visitors center hosts the Old Town Kenai Market featuring local food trucks, live entertainment and local vendors & crafters.

The City of Kenai's visitor center goes well beyond a person at a counter handing out maps. You'll find an impressive permanent collection of Native Alaskan and local history artifacts, art exhibits, as well as the largest collection of mounted bald eagles in North America. The gift shop features souvenirs, maps, books, music, and locally produced items. And, indeed, friendly staffers distribute information on local lodging, tours and activities. The Center also offers educational and cultural programming throughout the year: speakers, concerts, school group tours and an Alaskan movie series. A special treat in the summer is the Kenai Saturday Market, a summer crafts market from 10am to 5pm

The Kenai Visitor’s Center is a great stop on a rainy day or just to learn more about the area. It has some excellent historical and nature displays for its size, and a video experience as well. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly!

Good exhibits of local animals and a small display on the history of the Kenai including the Russian and Homestead periods as well as oil and trapping. Rotating art shows in the summer.
