This is a complete four season, recreational community maintains over forty (40) miles of paved roads and modern central sewer and water systems. Part of the Wallenpaupack Watershed, the community has three main bodies of water commonly used for recreational purposes: Roamingwood Lake (198 acres); Deerfield Lake (25 acres); and Brooks Lake (9 acres). Also located within the community are Windemere Lake (1 acre); Hidden Lake (1 acre); and Big Springs Pond (3 acres). Guests are greeted by our Entrance Pond (3.2 acres) and eventually makes its way down to Lake Wallenpaupack via Ariel Creek. A Four Season Resort Community: 24 Hour Security, Gated Entrance, Public Utilities, Central Water and Sewer, Clubhouse, Lodge, Campgrounds, 250 Acres Of Pristine Woodlands, and a Dog Park. Recreation Galore: Recreational Sports Complex, Golf Course, Indoor/Outdoor Tennis, Power Boat Lake, Two Sand Beaches, Two Heated Outdoor Pools, Physical Fitness Center, Mini Golf, Art Center, Woodworkers Building, Ski Lift and Lodge, Tubing Run.

Recreational Sports Complex The Recreational Sports Complex is a multifaceted sport complex that provides members and their guests with various services and is the main hub to all your recreational activities in the Hideout. A first class Fitness Center and Aerobic Room, Saunas, Library, Card Room, two Indoor Tennis Courts, two Outdoor Tennis Courts , Indoor Shuffleboard Court, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Pickle Ball, Game Room, Recreation Office, Children’s Room, Multi-Purpose Room all are housed at the Recreational Sports Complex in the North Section of the Hideout on North Fairway Drive. Stepping outside the sports complex, The Hideout has six additional outside tennis courts, two sets are lighted for night time play, a 2.7 mile Walking Trail, Mini Golf Course, South Recreation baseball field, two basketball courts, four shuffleboard courts, two bocce, six horseshoe pits, two volleyball courts, two handball/racquetball courts, four playgrounds, Community Garden. The Recreation Department organizes and runs activities year round. Spring/Summer Bingos, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball Sport Camps, Jr. Tennis Program, Pee Wee Tennis, shuffleboard and bocce Leagues, Pool/Billiards, Volleyball, Horseshoe, Bocce, Pickleball and Tennis Tournaments, Night at the Races, Beach Parties, Boat Regatta, Little Miss and Mr. Hideout Pageant, 4th of July Fireworks, Flea Market, Family Softball, Children’s Fishing Derby, Jr. Woodworkers Craft Day, Family Olympics, Egg Dip, Triathlon, Youth Triathlon, Campfire Nights at Laurel Park Campground, Kayak Party, Teddy Bear Picnic, Father’s Day Mini-Golf Tournament, NYC Bus Trips, Mohegan Sun Bus Trips. Fall/Winter Flea Market, Fall Festival, Indoor Shuffleboard League, Pickleball League, Open Gym Bingos, 3-Point Shootout Tournaments, Ping Pong Tournaments, Craft Fair, Family Flag Football, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Tennis Mixed Doubles Mixer, Trunk or Treat, Children’s Holiday Parties, Breakfast with Santa, Cross Country Ski Rentals. Tennis clinics and Private Lessons for all levels are available throughout the year. Lessons are available Saturday and Sundays throughout the year and Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays June through Labor Day. Tot Camp and Kids Adventure Camp are available Monday through Friday, from late June to the middle of August. Golf Course Located in the North Section of the community, The Hideout Golf Course features 9 challenging holes totaling 3,344 yards of green expanse. Throughout the season, the course is host to numerous tournaments and charitable events. Nestled in the lower level of the Clubhouse is the Golf Pro Shop, fully stocked with supplies and apparel. Motorized cart rentals are available through the Pro Shop for you to enjoy a beautiful summer day on the course. Ski Hill **The Ski Hill is open to Members and Guests of The Hideout only** When winter places its cold and snowy grip on Northeast Pennsylvania, head over to the Hideout Winter Sports Complex located off Westwood Drive across from the Nubia Malkin Art Center. We have three ski trails accessed from the top of our chairlift, a beginner’s slope with surface lift access and a tube hill with its own lift access. There is also a natural ice skating rink.

Throughout the season the course is host to numerous tournaments and charitable events. Nestled in the lower level of the Clubhouse is the Golf Pro Shop, fully stocked with supplies and apparel.
