What a great afternoon. Full of vibe, culture and people known and new. Jason is the perfect host orchestrating an afternoon that gave opportunity for connection, hearing life stories of new friends (including bob hawlk, love him or hate him) all over a dozen different kinds of ales, lagers and stouts.

Exposure to variety was just a small piece of the tour as Jason is qualified in brewing. He took us into spaces most don’t go. Our experience was visceral seeing the realising its bitterness, smelling toast in the barley and appreciating the juxtaposition between art and chemistry where the water used changes the whole pallet and then exponentially when combined with sour dough like yeasts some collected from local flowers. We were not told why there were so many different variety’s; we experienced and knew.

Jason, thanks for sharing this part of you and this fascinating craft. As a novice to beer, I feel I can now order my own beer now from appreciation and preference.
