My husband and I were traveling for our honeymoon. Eric allowed us to drop off our bags an hour before actual check in which was very nice. The location was wonderful. There are numerous cafes and shops well within walking distance of the apartment. Our last night there, we enjoyed dinner at a Michelin star restaurant that was just two doors down.
unfortunately, the apartment wasn't very clean. It was quite dusty, especially upstairs in the bedroom. Given there is no AC, the fan upstairs would have been nice to use if it didn't blow the dust around. First use I turned it on directly kn my face and let's just say I had a nice mouth of dust bunnies.
The place does get hot. As previous guests have wrote in their reviews, your choice is to either use the fan or have the windows open to which you will be bitten by mosquitos. I read the reviews so we knew to keep the windows closed. But at some point you just have to open them to cool down.
getting to the bedroom, the stairs are extremely narrow. one must take caution when climbing up or down. now for the kitchen, the dishes were not clean for our use when we arrived. We were planning on cooking most of our meals during our stay, unfortunately that wasnt possible. It heats up after 6 mins but that wasnt the issue. When I went to turn it off, the light for the burner stayed on. we tried calling, and texting and messaging through Airbnb app, but didn't get any response. my husband managed to get the stove off just in time for us to make our tour. Because of that stress, we decided it wasnt worth it to cook. Eric did finally call us back about 3 hours later.
We made the best of our stay and lucky for me my husband checked the house nightly for mosquitos and spiders. The district is absolutely lovely and we will definitely be back to the area again.
