Art and design enthusiast hoping to create amazing spaces for travelers to call home and enjoying the ride of being an Airbnb host and getting to my dream ! I also run a small food tour company If i had to describe myself with adjectives, i’d say I’m hardworking, creative, laidback and friendly. I always make it a point to respond quickly to guest messages and always help my guests to the best of my abilities.

Shazia's place is in a great neighborhood -- away from the tourists and chaos of Thamel but close enough that I walked there many times. The neighborhood has everything close by if you want to cook and it's quiet. I loved Shazia's dogs and the cats, who are friendly and polite but (if you don't like animals) won't bother you. The space is very comfortable and I especially loved sitting on the balcony.

Shazia’s apartment is just wonderful. It’s got beautiful light throughout the day, and there’s a lovely balcony that overlooks the city, prayer flags fluttering and birds flocking from the rooftops. The apartment is stylish, the kitchen is well stocked, and it’s only a ten minute walk the the stupa. You can even see the stupa from one of the windows, which is really special. Shazia and her staff are also wonderful. Grateful for everything here.

An Absolute Must-Do in Kathmandu!

I had an amazing time on this food tour in Kathmandu with my guide, Fahid. From the very beginning, he was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. It was more than just tasting food—it felt like being shown around by a local friend who truly knows the heart and soul of the city.

The tour took us to hidden gems I would have never found on my own—small, tucked-away lanes that serve authentic Nepali food you won't get in tourist restaurants. Every bite told a story, and Fahid was great at explaining the origins, ingredients, and cultural significance behind each dish. You could tell he genuinely cared about sharing the real flavors of Nepal.

If you want to taste the true essence of Kathmandu, this tour is the only way to do it. It’s a lovely way to experience the city, meet kind locals, and enjoy incredible food in places you'd never expect. Highly recommend—thanks again, Fahid!
