Mathias offered insight into the historical and cultural aspects of the City of Marseilles in an easy to understand manner and was happy to answer questions. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about the City from a true Marseillais.

What a unique educational tour! We were attracted to the diverse make up of Marseille and wanted to learn more of its migration history. Mathias’s passion for this city and its people is evident, history can be painful but learning and sharing stories can help address some of the wounds. We enjoyed delicious street food, had tea at local spot all while gaining knowledge of what makes Marseille so special - it’s people! Truly inspiring tour. Highly recommend it.

My friend and I had a great tour with Mathias. He’s chosen an important angle to the story of Marseilles and how the people have made the city what is it today, a beautiful mixture of cultures sadly build on a heartbreaking story of oppression, racialization and colonization. So important for us all to learn and know, so I would recommend it to others visiting (and living in) Marseille!

Do not hesitate to book this tour! Every moment of this tour was engaging and Mathias' sense of pride in his city was infectious. The unique lense through which he takes you on an exploration of Marseille through time, culture, and migratory occurences will certainly make you feel part of the city - if only for a couple of hours. His impeccable skill as a host is undeniable and he will not rest until every question you have is answered and several recommendations are provided to ensure you have the experience you seek in Marseille.
