Yannis is the kind of host whose love for his island, love for his guests, and love for the places he takes you is apparent from the start. He is proud to call this ancient place his home, eager to show it to travelers, and fulfilled in helping tourists bring money to these smaller places and villages. He knows when to entertain and when to sit back while you soak it in and bind with your fellow travelers. He is exactly the tour guide you want, and it's a shame we were his last tour of the season because we would have loved to see more of what he had to show.

Eat breakfast before you go, and be ready to see beautiful countryside and villages before and overwhelming abundance of great food, drink, and company!

Lots and lots and lots of food.
In addition to the coffee ( Greek espresso or iced) and snacks ( the monastery just finished a service so we sort of crashed their event and tried some Greek cookies, sweet bread & spinach pie) we had TWO five course meals within a couple of hours. However we were able to bring home leftovers and went home with seven “ take away, boxes. Besides the food, we had a lovely drive through the countryside, enjoying our exploration of the old monastery grounds, a visit to a small, family operated olive oil press, and took in lovely views as we shared stories about our lives our travel and learned
about Greek history and culture.
Yannis was very easy going and helpful, giving us many suggestions while we remained in Chania for another five days, including showing us the nearest bus stop to our B& B and offering to be a resource for any other travel questions. I hope I have time and the weather cooperates; I would love to sign up for a 2 nd excursion.

Wow!! I am truly blown away by this unique experience. My husband and I feel so lucky that we got to taste and view many unique places that very few people will ever get to see. Yannis was an incredible host filled with knowledge, impeccable taste, and a true passion for Crete culture. The experience felt so personal. We feel so lucky to have seen all the heaven on earth secluded spots we were taken too. Pictures do not do it justice. We are still eating on the delicious meals we had. This is a must experience if you want to see what makes Chania life so spectacular. Highly highly recommend.

Yannis was an incredible host and took us on such a unique, once in a lifetime tour. The scenery, food, wine, and culture was absolutely incredible and unlike any other tour we’ve had abroad.
