We try and do a walking tour of every city we visit as soon as we get there. These tours provide us with valuable insights into the location, the people and the culture of where we are visiting. It also always gives us great information on things to see and do and places to eat, that aren't tourist traps!
This tour was exactly what we were hoping for, our guide Taoufik was exceptional. His English was excellent, he had fantastic local knowledge and was in general a great guy to spend time with.
The Blue Pearl is a beautiful city but it is a real rabbit warren to navigate and there is no gaurantee that Google Maps will be able to direct you around. Taoufik was able to keep us orientated and take us to some real hidden gems that most tourists simply won't be able to find on their own. He is also quite savvy with social media and gave us some great tips on capturing that perfect Insta worthy photo :-)
I highly recommed a walking tour of Chefchaouen and if you can, ask for Taoufik :-)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mohamed couldn’t make the tour, but was able to arrange another guide for us at the last minute. Taoufiq very kindly took us around the old city, providing just the right amount of history and interesting information. He also gave a fantastic lunch recommendation( one of the best meals we’ve had so far in Morocco), as well advising me on a lovely private hammam to try. Great guy, very friendly and gave great tips.
Highly recommend this walking tour.
