I had such a lovely experience with Rie, it was so much fun to make my own sushi & practice calligraphy. I had a little trouble with the train but Rie was very reassuring & waited for me at the station.

Rie was very friendly & kind, the sushi making was super fun & the location was so beautiful! I booked this experience to avoid large sushi making groups, this was so much more peaceful & intimate. Highly recommend!

Rie was a really good host, she was nice and talkative.
She told us stories, we learned how to make a good flower sushi, and also tried ourselves in calligraphy.
100% recommend, we will visit her next time again!

I was excited about this experience when I found it but the reality of the experience exceeded my expectations. For starters, Rie is the sweetest lady who I can tell genuinely enjoys hosting people and ensuring they have the best time. She hosts the workshop out of her home and it has a stunning view out the windows where you are making the sushi and calligraphy which really added to the experience. Rie was so organized and made the sushi process very easy for us and then made us additional food to go with it and it was essentially a whole meal. She looked up our names in kanji and taught us how to write them ourselves. My husband and I cannot recommend this experience enough.
