Absolutely magical experience. Well-worth the early morning! The team were so accomodating, even going out of their way to take us to a station so we could continue onward rather than journeying back to Malang. Our guide, Fajar, was very knowledgeable and was more than willing to share stories about Indonesian culture and the legends of Mt Bromo, and provide travel suggestions for the rest of our trip. We arrived nice and early, and shared a cup of coffee and some local treats around a little fire while we waited for the sunrise where were greeted with spectacular views. The hike to the crater was steep, but enjoyable and not too difficult (though my partner has big feet and struggled with the stairs on the way down!). Fajar was also excellent at taking cute candid photos! Highly recommend 😊

[There is an option to pay a local provider to take the crater trail by horseback, and some of the horses appeared poorly treated. Note: this is not a fault of this tour, just a heads up]
